Lycia

I love music. Everyday I search for new kinds of music. My fondness of Gothic Rock, Gothic Metal and Symphonic Metal bands lead me to discover yet another genre associated in the Gothic scene which is: DARKWAVE. My first ever darkwave song to hear is Black Tape for a Blue Girl's "I Have No More Answers". Darkwave is sometimes melancholic, dreamy but in my case, hauntingly beautiful. Since then, I kept on searching for other Darkwave bands then I found Lycia, a band from Arizona. Tara Vanflower's elegant dreamy voice and Mike VanPortFleet's instrumentation are the driving forces behind the band. I'm listening to them for nearly a couple of years now, I heard almost all their music. Then I found Tara's page on Facebook. I e-mailed her telling about how good Lycia is and how I, and many Lycia's fans out there, hope that they continue to create these music that we learn to love. I didn't expect that I'd get a reply from her. Like any other fans, one would surely feel what I felt: Happy. Tara was very friendly. Well, that single reply made my day complete. I hope every band will be like that. Kudos for Lycia!
